Amadeus

bruce willis armageddon

Hi guys,

This weeks movie is called Amadeus.

Peter Shaffer's acclaimed play received the adaptation treatment from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest director Milos Forman, and it might be the greatest biopic of all time. Starring Tom Hulce as the giggling composer and F. Murray Abraham as his struggling contemporary Antonio Salieri, Amadeus extrapolates creative pursuits through bitter rivalry, discovering how masterpieces and failures, disasters and sophisticates, can bang together into history as one invisible, harmonic chord.

Overall, this is a great movie and I hope you will enjoy it!

"The Legend of 1900" is not the most attractive title for a film and the Italian original, "The Legend of the Oceanic Pianist", is no better. in retrospect there is no title worthy of this film. The marquee should read simply "See This Film, Your Life Will Be Better for It."

As its pianist, this film could be bound for success, but the fact is, it remained relatively obscure. I can't understand why did a movie with this deepness and feeling end up in oblivion. Because, if there are some beautiful movies, this is one of them, from the moment that fantastic Ennio Morricone score begins until we witness the tear-jerking finale.

After seeing this movie I went straight to my video store to buy their copy.

Did you know?

There was actually a registered ship named the SS Virginian which was built in 1904 and scrapped around 1954. The ship had one funnel with the Allan Liner's colors on it.

Have the popcorn ready and enjoy!

Positive—I forgive this film’s clever attempt at promoting globalism… And I do so, because the film is a stunning sci-fi movie. I can’t recall for a long while being so captivated and enthralled by the sustained wonder, as well as the tension, that this movie is able to not only create but maintain.
Neutral— Staring up to the stars and not knowing what is up there will only create a void that has to be filled. It can be filled by God, or, in this case, Aliens. The movie “Arrival” chooses the latter. Language is very interesting.

Trivia

The siren emitted throughout the movie signaling the scientists' preparation to approach the ship is identical to the siren used in The Purge (2013) and its sequels.

In the end, I hope you like this movie! Have a good spring break!

Comments: I just saw Spotlight and was blown away by the skill with which this excruciatingly painful story was told. The intelligent screenplay, the superlative acting by a stellar cast, the fine direction that kept the dramatic action moving along. —Halyna, age 69 (USA)
There is a fair amount of adult language and frank discussion of the sexual abuse that did occur. The acting is excellent, and the screenplay is very well written. “Spotlight” is a high quality film with something to say that I recommend to mature adults. —Steve Allaby, age 35 (Canada)
Blogger: So, I have just watch this movies. Although it contains lots of F words but the characters did a great job of making the story even realistic. Audiences should take extreme caution because there are harsh references are made in this movie. In the end, I hope you will like this movie and make a comment about it!
Is It Cool?: Excellence in Filmmaking. This is a story that had to be told, and the filmmakers have done a capable and responsible job of  illustrating the "Spotlight" team of investigative reporters at the Boston Globe who broke the Catholic Church's clergy sex abuse story.
Here is a short clip that will make you want to watch it!

Leon: The Professional

Hey guys,

Today, I will introduced a movie called "Leon: The Professional". I enjoy watch movie with friends because there are several interactions among the main characters and they have pretty good quotes too!

Matilda, a 12 year old girl, lives with her dysfunctional family and is beaten by her parents and sister but is very protective of her four year old brother. Her father stores drugs for a corrupt agent named Norman Stransfield. Matilda has abandoned school and spends her time at home watching cartoons. One day, Norman Stransfield and his team take revenge on the father because of a drug deal and murder the whole family. Matilda was grocery shopping and upon her arrival at home she witnesses her family killed including her four year old brother. Later, she hides in her neighbor Leon's house, a professional hitman. Leon lives with his favorite plant and lives an unhappy life. When Matilda finally knows his identity, she seeks his skills and helps in learning how to become a hitman in order to take revenge for her brother's death.
My favorite part of this movie is the interactions among Matilda and Leon. It in very interesting to see how a twelve year old girl is able to keep Leon happy and engaging about life. I also enjoy their emotions and nonverbal communications because it is hard to believe that the love isn't there.I really like Matilda because she is a clever and intelligent girl. She always stay focused and still cares about the family and she wants to revenge for her little brother.

Again, I hope you will enjoy this movie and tell me about your thoughts!

The Pursuit of Happyness

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today, I will like to introduce a movie called “The Pursuit of Happyness” because it inspires people to seek their own pursuit of happiness and reflect upon our journey in life time. This movie was broadcast in 2006 based on a true story about a man named Christopher Gardner. In fact, I believed several of you guys have heard or seem about this movies. The major characters are the father Chris (Will Smith) and his son(Jaden Smith).

So here is the preview of the movie. Christopher Gardner, a salesman struggling to make ends meet for his wife and the little son. However, as it comes to the financial burdens, his wife felt depressed and abandons him and their son. Gardner experienced several bad luck of his life and he and the little son are evicted from their home because of financial barriers and must live on the streets. They are forced to seek for shelters wherever they can find, even spending a night in a subway bathroom. However, things start to looking good when Gardner applies for an internship with a stock brokerage firm. The internship is unpaid with 20 other interns will be chosen to stay with the company as full-time. In the end, Garner finally make himself stand out from his competitors and find his pursuit of happiness.

This movie has won several rewards and still inspiring several peoples nowadays to overcome hardships in lifetime. Indeed, there are several life lessons in this movie and abundant of good quotes from Gardner as well. I wish you could find out your favorite quote after watching this movie.
Below is a conversation between Gardner and his son:
Christopher Gardner: [after playing basket ball] Hey. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. Not even me. All right?
Christopher: All right.
Christopher Gardner: You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.

In the end, I wish all of you could have the chance to watch this amazing film and tell me about your opinions!
We could all find our own pursuit of happyness!
